I love that warm fuzzy feeling when you get an email from the boy that you like! Especially when they tell you they miss you. Makes everything seem a little bit more brighter, I know my smile is. :)

Well....here is something that was stumbled upon while blog viewing so I thought I would jump on the bandwagon, waste more of my precious work time, and dive right in. I'll warn you....they might get wordy.
If you could have lived in any time period in history, what would it be and why?
I think this is difficult to answer bc to this day women are still fighting for equality among the sexes and I feel that for me to pick a time period earlier than now, willingly, would be suicide or something along the lines of destruction of character. What I mean is, I am who I am because of my independence, my open mindedness, my outspoken personality and my rash decisions. So for me to try and think about living in a time when I wouldn't be me, is sort of unsettling. Now if I were a man I could probably pick a period but I'd just be an ass either way with all of my power so I'll go with this period, now, or possibly times to come. It can only get better right? FYI I am not and uptight, bitchy feminist.....swear!
Tell us your one hidden secert that you have never spoken out loud.
If I told you, then it wouldn't be a secret. And if I've kept it this long what makes you think you're so special that you can get it out of me now. I'll take it to the grave, ya hear!
What color are the underwear you are wearing right now?
ooohhhh I like this one. White thongs. Nothing too fancy, just practical but they match the white strapless bra i'm wearing and are very comfortable.
In your next life you got the shaft and cameback as plant life. What are you?
Damn, too bad I'm not a plant person so I can have something really witty and intelligent to say that ultimatley ties together my personality and the characteristics of a certain plant. As long as it is pretty, smells nice and can grow anywhere I"m game. Anyone have any suggestions?
If you had to choose between ending your life or your arch nemesis, which would you choose? If them, what did they do to you to make that choice?
Survival. I would never willingly take my life unless I had to offer it to save someone else that I love. I understand sacrifice but there is a cause for sacrifice and in this case I choose survival. So in answering the second part, they didn't neccesarily do anything. I guess the got the short straw.
Here’s How It Works
Please post your answers on your blog. If other bloggers want to be interviewed, you must interview them if they ask you by:
1. Leaving you a comment saying 'interview me please'
2. You will respond by asking you five questions here on their blog (not the same questions you see here)
3. They will update their blog/site with the answers to the questions4
. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

what is all of this you ask? Well it is what shellie and I will hopefully be moving into come September 1st. We snatched that sucker up so fast I don't think the landlord is gonna know what hit him. Didn't hurt that the real estate agent was a hottie and is gonna be our neighbor as well. Someone pinch me because I think I am dreaming. :) Everyone keep their fingers crossed bc if the lease application goes through we our gonna have ourselves one stellar ass pad and everyone is invited to visit/hang out. I'm thinking New Years shin-dig is in order. I'll take pics and post them as soon as we find out. Soooooooooo excited.
ok i seriously just read this on msn in an article about dating and men. Hilarious. The article was obviously more in depth but I had to pull this quote bc I think it is frickin funny as hell.
"Think of him as a pair of new shoes. They may look exquisite. The price may be within budget. But if you put them on and they don’t feel right, put them back. There’s certainly no shortage of other fabulous shoes out there. Same with guys."
ain't that right!
I would just like to inform everyone that this is offically the last day that I will be pulling my marathon of a double. No more 20 hour shifts for this lady. I have 3 final shifts left at the bar. A double tonight and two weekend shifts and then it's smooth sailing after that. Yum! I'm excited.
I had the pleasure of listening to this woman on my way to work this morning and she has the most incredible, emotionally edgy voice. I love it! I wanted to share some of her lyrics from one of her songs titled 'Unwritten' I guess her CD comes out Aug 2nd so I'm going to have to get it and I don't purchase very many cd's. Enjoy.
I am unwritten
Can’t read my mind
I’m undefined
The pen’s in my hand
Ending unplanned
Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you
Can not find
Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else can
Speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten
I break tradition
Sometimes my tries
Are outside the lines
We’ve been conditioned
To not make mistakes
But I can’t live that way...
"Wedding Crashers" seriously.........go see it!! I laughed so hard that at times I even missed funnier parts of the movie. I almost peed my pants and at one point I had to continue to hold my side bc I had a cramp from laughing so much and so hard. It's worth it. But some advice: buy your tickets ahead of time bc everyone and their mother wants to see this flick and its like a hoard of cattle at the frickin theatres. I went to two last night just to see it and even ended up seeing the late show bc the first time was sold out. WTF. But none-the-less, having a double feature with my best budd Kurty was priceless!
Not too much sleep last night bc the train stopped running at 12:15 and I didn't get to the stop till 1a.m where I had to sit and have some weirdo guy ask me questions about the tatoo on my foot while explaining to me how much pain he's in bc he just got back from the hospital where they sewed him up and his meds are wearing off. Ugh....yeah....ok...whatever freak! I ran out of there real fast! Stayed at Kurty's, passed out at 1;30 and had to be up at 5:00 to catch the morning train so I had enough time to shower and get ready for work. Yuck. I like sleep, really, I do.
woooooooooo hoooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wasted at work!
1 1/2 hours late!
fuckin awesome ass time last night!
Sweet movie to look forward to tonight!
Gavin Degraw tomorrow!
Need I say more......
Let's all get together and wish Justin Winget a very Happy and fun filled 25th Birthday!! Happy Birthday Mr. Winget. :) he he. This roommate of mine rocks and he's an awesome guy! He also celebrates spring break (continuously) better than anyone I know! Have a great day! Make sure you all give him a call.
Alrighty everyone. The time has finally come.....I am offically moving over into the 9-5er full time world of adult hood! I got a promotion and my Design job offered me a full time position. That means......yep...you're thinking right....NO MORE WORKING AT THE BAR. Which also means; regular sleep hours (no more 20hour shifts with 2 hours sleep), not dealing with rude, billegerently drunk, asshole people, or consuming heaps and heaps of secondary smoke! I'm sure ya'll can tell how excited I am. This has been long waiting and I honestly don't know how much longer my body could have taken the schedule I was on. So, happily, this past Saturday I gave my two weeks notice to a bar i've called 'sort of home' for about a year and a half. This was my first income upon moving to chicago but it definitley won't be my last. I had some great times, met some incredible people which I will have the pleasure of still staying close with, and I did learn a thing or two. So yet another chapter in my life is nearing an end and we're about to begin a new one filled with benefits! I'm talking life, dental and medical. I don't even remember what its like to go to a doctor. i.e. you broke your leg = find a piece of wood to splint it up with and wrap some guaze around it bc you sure as hell aren't going to the doctors, that shit costs too damn much money and you're still paying off a hospital bill from over a year ago!
So, in 2 weeks time, I will be a very happy, more relaxed, full time employee. I will also have my weekends off so now is the time for everyone to pack their things and come rushing to chicago to hang out! Start looking for flights bc I miss everyone! :)
My 20 hour sprint of a work marathon is over. Again working off of 2 and 1/2 hours of sleep. Driving this morning was trying at best. It's going to take much effort to stay awake and vigil throughout the day but I'll do my best. For those of you updated on the soap opera saga of my life I feel that we are closing in on Chapter 3 and moving into chapter 4. NOTE: An end of a chapter doesn't neccessarily correspond to the 'end of something' more so a shift or a change in environment or situation. With that being said, moving onto chapter 4......
you know how sometimes you'll be walking down the hall, or a street or some sort of path and you are about ready to turn that corner and just as you do you get sideswiped by someone or something. They didn't physically run into you or knock you down but it took your breathe away and scared the hell out of you. Got your pulse up and running so fast you'd think you just lept off a cliff. And then your heart rate slowly begins to go down and you sort of have a numb buzzing feeling in your head. The eye of the storm, I'd like to call it. In a split second you've passed each other and you're around the corner and on another path. Everything is in front of you, there are no more corners or surprises up ahead yet you still have that feeling in the pit of your stomach. You want to look over your shoulder but you know you're big enough, grown up enough that you should just keep going, keep looking foward, it was just a little thing. Ever feel that?
Hope everyone had a good 4th of July. I had a pretty good time, although there were some set backs. Thursday I got in a car accident where a dump truck, drivin by what i'm only assuming as an illegal alien calling himself Jose, literally drove up and over the back end of my bumper as I was merging onto the highway. Great! Thanks! Really needed that after my long week of working + no sleep. So that nap I was planning on squeezing in didn't really happen bc I was so worked up and upset. But that is still all being figured out. Friday....worked! Saturday I resided at the Beach all day. Love the sun. Had a pretty good group down there. Hung out and then played a couple games of volleyball wherein my arms feel like they went through a cheese grater. Yes! That intense, i'm thinking the ball was too hard or something or I'm just a pussy. Anyhoo, after that I went to work....omg let me tell you how much fun that wasn't! :) Some guy kicked me at work too. I was coming around the corner and for some reason his drunk ass thought he was in the Cabarette or something and he took off on a tanget of high kicks which resulted in my leg practicallly being torn off. Thanks dumbass, have another drink! Sunday, layed pretty low, went to a bbq with Mr. Cutie and caught the tail end of the fireworks. Passed out early. Monday, again another low key day/night. Caught a movie with mr. awesome 'Miller' "am i gonna get pregnant now! bc i cannot get pregnant now! how does this work, am I gonna get webbed feet!" heheh, good flick. Then got some pizza and watched Hitch with Mr. Cutie. Relaxing......ahhhhh.... However, I still find myself prying my eyes open this morning on my drive to work. Whats the deal. I woke up this morning right away, heedless of my alarm as well, and got ready to start the day only to hit a drug induced wall as soon as my ass made contact with the drivers seat in my honda. WTF! But i'm here now, working along side the other 9-5 er's. Awaiting lunch with so much anticipation you'd think it was christmas and I was 5 all over again. Oh to be that young again.....wait a minute.....did I seriously just say that. OK shoot me now bc I referred to 'being young' like i'm some sort of ancient, decaying hag. Man I need another job. :) Happy beginning of the week everyone.
